∆ L Y S
∆ L Y S is the solo project of Greenville, SC based writer and producer Rae Clark. The project started in 2015 when they released their first full-length album "Into The Grey". In the following year, Clark released "Momenthouse", a nostalgic acoustic EP. They then released a second album, "TRACES" in February of 2017, followed by "DERBY", an experimental electronic album. In that same year, they collaborated with Jon Yoko on the track "Testament". In 2018 they released "Fantasma", a concept album that focused on emulating a sense of spirituality and darkness with melodic vocals backed by dynamic electronic beats and 80s style guitar riffs. Also in 2018, Clark worked with BANSHEE JONES (Micah Peek) on a Halloween-themed album called "Enter the Haunted World" under the project titled The Third Service. In 2018 Clark met Ash Foster-Lee, a DJ and writer, and the two started the project The Parlor Pinks. In early 2020, Clark released “Enid” an ambient solo ep under their solo project, ∆ L Y S. That summer, they partnered with MVTCHI, a vocalist and rapper form Florida to create “Callisto” a pop-infused upbeat ep. And in the fall of 2020, released a solo Halloween-themed ep called “BATS”.
THE PARLOR PINKS
The Parlor Pinks is a psychedelic electronic collaboration between producer ∆ L Y S (Rae Clark) and visionary Mash Weds (Ash Foster-Lee). The Greenville-based duo met at a local concert where they were both performing as solo acts. They soon began sharing ideas and working on tracks together, combining Foster-Lee's DJ background with Clark's production experience ranging from trap-inspired beats to ambient acoustic. Their first full-length album, "MetaDada" was released in September of 2018 It showcases both Clark and Foster-Lee's vocals, surrounded by swirling synths and dynamic unpredictable beats. Also featured on this album (on "Myriad" and "Lightcycles") are backing guitar riffs by Drew McConnell of Hugger Mugger. "MetaDada" was produced by Rae Clark with Deltalys Media and mastered by Drew McConnell at FPR Studios. In 2019 the duo released their second full length album, Dead Channels, produced by Deltalys Media (aka ∆ L Y S) and mastered by Michael O'Shea (aka Kinjac). The sophomore album explores a more dynamic sound, with distorted vocals, beat-driven choruses, and heavy synths. They released a remix ep of four songs from "Dead Channels" in 2020, featuring remixes by Rögg Collins, ∆ L Y S, and Antiquarian.
THE THIRD SERVICE
The Third Service is the project of BANSHEE JONES (Micah Peek) and ∆ L Y S (Rachel Clark). The two Greenville, SC natives began working together in 2018 when they released E.T.H.W., a dynamic spooky and spectacular experimental album. And started working under the name The Third Service in 2019 when they released Songs for Springwood (Five Wounds in Yellow). "This thirteen-minute rhapsodic meditation upon death, Idaho, and the Salvation of All Things brought an end to what was previously known as "Enter the Haunted World," a side project of '∆lys' and 'Banshee Jones'. What was intended to be a follow up to their smash hit, self-titled holiday album, ultimately became a departure from reality and an entrance into the Truth. What man intended for Evil, God used for Good. This song is for Franky, Val, and all the saints. Peace begins in the Heart."
